i love noobs
i had a thread closed becose " newbie " was on topic , lets see if noob lasts
ok , i had to make this thread , to give my reasons why i really love noobs
going to early missions and seeing a monk/necro with a hammer its impossible not to have fun seeing this , so good.
all the mixed kind of armor and dyes , some look so bad , its funny ...
questions that they make : where is kryta ?
the game without noobs would be boring
this thread is to say funny GOOD! things about noobs
enjoy

When I am bored and have really nothing to do in the game because my Guildmates are not online or are busy I like to go back to the early missions and help people.
I do this with my Monk. Lately I have been doing the Frost Gate over and over only because it is fun to do so. As a Level 20 Monk with most of the Elites I can be pretty powerful. I also "try" to teach some of the new players how to play. Calling Targets...taking one group at a time...etc. I been taking Smite Hex & Mend Ailment along. It will really help turn the tide for lower level players. Top that with Aegis, Vigorous Spirit, Prot Spirit, Word of Healing and they can fly through these earlier missions.
When people get snotty and act like immature brats...I can correct their behavior or let them know they are going to finish the mission without me. Most people will fall in line with the program. I have met some good people out there even if the mission turns out badly. I will take the "good people" back through and finish it for them.

noobs are always good for a laugh, like when i had a guy in pre ask me "what is the cape for? does it allow you to fly?" i was on the froll i was laughing so hard. of course its also funny when i'm in LA posting "WTS req8 15^50 chaos axe, PM with offers" and then some noob comes up and opens a trade an puts up 2573g, 67 bots of cloth, 3 blue dyes, a crappy purple bow, and 9 steel ingots, and says "plz i really need this axe plz plz plz plz plz" thats always good for a laugh. however, nothings funnier then when noobs claiming to be good cause me to waste valuable time by losing missions........oh wait......thats not funny. i have no problem with noobs, i just dont like noob who know they are noobs but are to afraid to admit it.

Haha - I love this. Many times I notice characters using weapons that don't go with eithe of there classes.
I sometimes Like noobs, sometimes i don't. Depends on how they act. One thing I love though is when they really appreciate something small. When i first starting playing I complimented someones armor and asked where they got it, talked to them a bit and said I would first need a run to drokners forge, at the time i thought 2k was a LOT to pay for a run, So i said "it's going to take me a while to get there, and even longer to get the 15k armor", Then he gives me 2k for my ticket to droks.
So i turned around and did the same. Was stading in ascalon in my 15k armor, someone whispered me, started talking a bit and i gave them 3k for a run to droks, Also gave them a few feathers for the armor when they got that far. It made them really really happy - Although it is a small gesture, I love seeing people be that happy over something so small.

Agreed I like giving away collector weapons from the desert (you know the fire wand and death staff and stuff like that, you can get them for 5 mino horns) to those low level people in the north shiverpeaks.
Tough some noobs....
A few weeks ago, I ran someone from yaks bend to beacons perch to lions arch. He was using this horribly bad sword, and he wanted afiery dragon sword. So, I happened to have picked up one earlier that day (something like 14-21 damage, no bonuses) and he was very happy with it.
Now, after 2 weeks, he whispers to me and asks:" can you give me 30k? I need it for armor from marhans grotto." So I say:"do you have droknars armor?" he: "No marhans looks much cooler" me:"yes but droknars will do for now" he:"oh shut the F*** up then".
A few days later, he whispers to me and says:"I have been scammed for much gold, can you give me some gold for a sword I need!" me:"what sword do you need then?" he : "a max damage one" me: "those shouldn't be too expensive." he: "I want an Icy one" me:"you can do with a collector sword, or one from droknars weapon crafter" he:"oh, but I need gold"
So I, with my big heart gave him 1K and some materials for the droknars sword.
And he says: "YOU F*#& I DONT NEED MATERIALS" me:"you can get the droknars sword for this, and if you don't want it, you can give it back"
no response
Now two days ago he said: "I have been scammed for 10K, give me gold"
me:"no, you should watchout for scammers, I have already told you about them" he:"all my friends gave me gold only you didn't" me:"I have given you several things already, Its time for you to make gold yourself." he: "I want money" me: "Do you know what farming is?" he:"No but I only need money no cows" me (still patient): "Ok I'll tell you how to make gold quickly, meet me in icetooth cave and I'll show you how to farm small minotaurs" he:"they dont give me gold, I want gold from you quick" me:"come and I show you, you are only level 15 so you cannot yet take on big enemies, but these will do" he:"OMFG SHUT THE F*$& UP, I BLOCK YOU"
and so he did, now I'm on his ignore list....
Some people just make no sense, that was one of them...
But some ppl do, I teached some how to farm with a bow and how to call. Got the two of them a nice bow to slaughter undead with, after they had farmed undead for 2 days, and done a few missions, I teached them how to kill better creatures, and they god a few gold weapons as well then. Was great fun, I still like talking to them and helping them, they also helped me out once .
To bad people don't have their true Age above their head ^_^I much rather help 16 year olds than 12 year olds (tough some exceptions can be made ofcourse)...

^^^ many apologies dude, wrong end of the stick entirely.
I enjoy helping out noobs in Pre-sear, took 7 of em in a row to do Ally quest.
I know how hard it can be o get someone to walk out the door. First time I did it I asked nicely for about 10 min.

i have a story about noobs, well i was in ToA and i was trying to get a trap group together and i get this one guy who said was a trapper, so i took his word for it.....we get there, and i notice that his winnow only lasts 102 so i say "Dude whats ur WS?" he says "9, isnt that high enough?" needless to say i flamed him and left game. moral of the story: always ask if a "trapper" has 16 WS

noobs are the only thing keeping society together
think about it
if everyone was NOT a noob, everyone would be smart and experienced
if everyone was smart and experienced, there would be nobody to teach and the 10 million teachers out there would be out of jobs, spiking americas unemployment rate and obliterating our economy
also, if there are no noobs, who are we to pick on? we would throw around pointless insults at eachother when we all know full well that those insults are useless.
so noobs are NECESSARY IN SOCIETY

Teachers don't teach how to play games at my school so I think their jobs will be safe.

Had a problem just like Mistical Miss. I just kept helping, and kept getting blasted with very very bad words. I help as often as I can, so many have done so for me. Sometimes Ill do missions for people, and they pop up days later asking me for help again, or advice on something. Oh, and unlike some, I have never ever called a person a "newb" or "noob" yet. Though I have been called that many times by people with far less experience. Funny how a new player quickly picks that word up and just tosses it around.

I have learned many valuable lessons from noobs, such as today, when I was very adamently(spelling right?) informed that eles are supposed to tank.

thats not very nice of ya m8, I mean whats so great about 16 wilderness? I never use superior runes here, its a waste of health, and you flamed a guy for not playing your way? grow up man, i've been in the UW hundreds of times as a trapper and you Do not need 16 wilderness to do it.
---
anyways noobs are awesome, there the only people you can give absoulute crap to and be called the greatest player in guild wars.... well anyways... one of the members in me guild was kinda a newb, stuck near ventaries refuge, so me and my co-leader go with him and he was using an hammer, and he said he needed a sword... well i happened to have a spare fiery dragon sword that i had no use for... man i never seen a guy so happy... that same noob is now an officer in the guild ^_^
